Background
The Faculty of Education was established in 2004. It was one of the two faculties that was launched at the University of Burao. From 2004 to 2015, the faculty was delivering diploma programs for primary teachers.
After undertaking needs assessment in 2015/2016, The University of Burao, decided to establish a high standard Faculty that offers Degree programs and Teacher trainings for secondary schools as a continuation of its goodwill efforts to improve work force of the Educational Institutions and contribute to Somaliland’s development.
