A third University of Burao Students Union Chairpersons election 2015 -2017 was held on Monday 19th January 2015.

The Vice-chancellor, Deans , Admin and Finance , HR manager, Public Relations and other senior management members of the University were present, as well as a number of students from different faculties who observed the election that was held at University Ceremony hall.
University students voted to elect the students who will lead the University of Burao Student Union over the next two years. The successful candidates were Mr. Mohamed Khadar Aingal (Wardi), and Miss. Khadra Sahal Muse who were elected as President and Vice-President of the University of Burao Students Union for 2015 -2017.
University of Buroa management members had the responsibility of observing voting platforms and other activities concerning the election process to ensure the election proceeded fairly. The University of Burao is incredibly proud of the third Students Union Chairpersons election that proceeded in a fair process and would like to thank every one who has contributed.
Outgoing President of University of Burao Students Union, Mr. Ali Ahmed Abdillahi said, " On behalf of University of Burao Students Union I would like to take this moment to sincerely congratulate the newly elected President of Students Union of Burao University Mr. Mohamed Khadar Ayngal (Wardi) and the Vice President Miss. Khadra Sahal Mouse who will be the chairing members for the coming two years. Dear brother and sister, congratulatons on becoming presidents. You truly deserve the posts! You are great! I am proud of you. In my message I wish you to set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there! Remember both of you are students who study in the faculty of Business Administration. As you go forward, take with you the lessons you learned in university and make your dreams come true. Be aware that there is a lot more to come: goals, challenges, and opportunities! Anything is possible when you just believe in yourselves."
Finally, UB vice-chancellor congratulated the newly elected chairpersons of the Students Union and advised them to participate in all the activities of the University especially to promote the University with visits to local secondary schools.
